Job Description
Position Summary:
- Under minimal supervision, the Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- This role demands technical proficiency, patient-centered care, and unwavering compliance with safety standards — all while demonstrating age-appropriate care for diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic exams (e.g., chest, extremities, spines, catheter placements).
- Prepare and assist patients during procedures — from moving them safely to providing comfort measures like blankets or restroom assistance.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition promptly.
- Transport patients safely via stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or walking; ensure care continuity during transport and within the department.
- Support patient positioning and transfers on/off x-ray tables; assist with basic care needs like bedpans and proper gowning.
- Maintain clean, stocked work areas; report equipment malfunctions; assist peers and complete special assignments as needed.
- Support emergency medical treatments under direct physician supervision.
- Assist with scheduling patient exams and managing workflows efficiently.
- Administer contrast media and flush lines as authorized; under
- Radiologist supervision, handle Lidocaine/buffered Lidocaine for procedures.
- Attend mandatory department meetings and in-service trainings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- Current CRT certificate and Fluoroscopy license — Required.
- ARRT registration or ARRT eligible — Required.
- Active BLS/Healthcare Provider status (American Heart Association) — Required.
- Valid Driver’s License — Required.
- Epic EMR experience (6–12 months minimum within the past year) — Required.
- Agency must provide Radiology Badge (facility does not issue).
