Job Summary:
- The radiation therapist follows the prescription plan and delivers radiation therapy to the patients as ordered by the physician.
- Working collaboratively with the front office staff, the radiation oncology nurse, the physicists and dosimetrist, the primary purpose of this job is to ensure every patient is given accurate, precise, and high-quality treatment in an emotionally healing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments with high technical quality using proper set-up and calculation parameters.
- Responsible for processing and subsequent filming of Client/port films prescribed by physician, obtaining port films in accordance with the department portal vision protocols.
Education and Experience:
- 2 years Diagnostic School Program +1 year experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- 1-3 years direct experience in treating acute patients.
Licensure/Certification:
- Required: A.R.R.T. Registered, CA State Certificate (CRT), American Heart Association BLS.
