Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and EP procedures.
- Operate and maintain specialized Cath lab equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems, mapping systems, and EP recording devices.
- Ensure all procedures meet safety and quality standards per regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to emergency cases.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, EP physicians, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide patient-centered care.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members or students as needed.
- Perform pre- and post-procedure equipment checks and inventory management.
Scrub, circulate, and monitor during a wide range of cardiac procedures including:
- Structural heart interventions (e.g., TAVI, TEVAR, Mitra Clip).
- Pediatric cardiac catheterizations.
- Electrophysiology studies and device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs).
- Accurately document procedural details and maintain detailed patient records.
Requirements:
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) – Required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in both Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab.
- Proficiency in handling complex structural heart procedures, including TEVAR and TAVI.
- Experience in Pediatric CCL is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, cardiovascular anatomy, and emergency cardiac interventions.
- Ability to work independently and in a high-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification – Required.
