Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The CT/Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with established protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physician orders.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within Product of practice when ordered.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Position patients and perform X-ray and CT examinations.
  • Evaluate images for quality and repeat or reposition patients as needed.
  • Follow safety and quality control standards.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Enter, transmit, and report imaging results.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • 2 years of recent Radiology & CT experience required.
  • Must be willing to float between X-ray and CT departments.
  • Experience with a 16-slice CT scanner.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) & CT .
  • Active Florida CT/Radiologic Technologist license .
  • BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)  .
