Job Summary:
- Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who performs diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures.
- Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information from which a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis may be established for each patient.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
- At least 2 years in the cardiovascular specialty.
- Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
