Job Summary:
- The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- The role requires producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, maintaining radiation protection standards, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized radiographic procedures according to departmental protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and patient identification protocols.
- Assist with imaging support during surgical and operating room procedures as needed.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any operational concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
- Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to provide efficient patient care.
- Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
- ARRT (R) Certification – Required.
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (TX MRT) License – Required.
- BLS (AHA) Certification – Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience assisting with Operating Room (OR) procedures preferred.
