Surgical Technologist II

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide patient care throughout the perioperative process.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instrumentation.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
• Perform procedures across multiple surgical specialties.
• Anticipate surgical team needs and support efficient workflow.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills related to surgical patient care.
• Collaborate with peers in clinical decision-making related to surgical procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to surgical standards and protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education:

High School/GED and one of the following:

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Completion of a Military Training Program as an Operating Room Specialist.
• Completion of a Froedtert Health sponsored Apprentice II Program.
• Ten or more years of experience as a Surgical Tech.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent.

Required Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Required Skills:

• Patient Care in Surgical Settings.
• Multi-Specialty Surgical Support.

Additional Job Information:

• Ambulatory Surgery Center setting.
• Three openings available.
• No weekends required.
• No on-call requirement.
• Scrubs provided.
• Non-float position.
• Contract opportunity with potential schedule flexibility for 4×10-hour shifts.
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties preferred through demonstrated work history.
