Surgical Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team, assists with surgical procedures by preparing and handling instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Supports patient care, maintains a safe surgical environment, and anticipates the needs of the surgical team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist during surgical procedures.
• Ensure operating room readiness and equipment functionality.
• Support patient preparation and transport.
• Maintain a clean and safe surgical environment.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Required Education:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education:

• Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program preferred (not required).

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required.

Experience:

• Required – Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Technologist experience.
• Preferred – Previous travel experience preferred.
