Job Description
Job Summary:
- Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms.
- Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
Facility Requirements:
- Must have AART/RDMS certification, this must be attached to the submission packet.
- Must have General US Tech, OB, Vascular experience.
- US Echo Tech experience preferred.
- Must have BLS certifications, must be attached to the candidate submission (Must be through the American Heart Association).
- Must have 2 years recent US Tech experience.
