Job Summary:
- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the supervision of a Radiologist.
- The role involves producing high-quality diagnostic images, administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring radiation safety, and following established imaging protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct medications as per protocol.
- Ensure patient safety, radiation safety, and infection control compliance.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures and explain exams clearly.
- Perform equipment quality control and maintain imaging standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and medical staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
- Upload and manage patient images in PACS for physician review.
Requirements:
- ARRT (N) or CNMT certification.
- BLS (AHA only).
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Experience with Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work independently and handle on-call responsibilities.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Knowledge of PACS, EMR systems, and general computer applications.
