Echocardiogram Technician (Travel)

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform quality diagnostic echocardiography procedures independently.
• Perform routine echocardiograms to evaluate heart defects or disease.
• Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Perform stress echocardiograms to evaluate for coronary artery disease.
• Notify physicians daily for exam interpretation.
• Check weekly and maintain necessary supplies.
• Deliver patient care appropriate to age-specific and developmental needs.
• Adapt assessment and service methods to meet patient needs.
• Promote teamwork and demonstrate behavior aligned with organizational mission and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• BLS certification (AHA required).
• CS, RCS, or RDMS through ARDMS or CCI.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the cardiology field preferred.
• Experience with stress testing preferred.
• Experience with adult echocardiography.
• Familiarity with occasional pediatric tele-med echo studies.
• Comfortable performing 6–8 echocardiograms per day.
• Willingness to take rotating weekends and on-call assignments.
