Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs.
  • Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols.
  • Using sonographic equipment to record images of patients and help diagnose a variety of medical illnesses and conditions.
  • Performs diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound technology.
  • They are responsible for operating sonographic equipment and communicating the results of diagnostic examinations.
  • Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Education:

  • Graduate of Sonographer accredited program required.

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years experience as a sonographer.

Certifications:

  • RDMS certification required.
  • BLS required.

Skills:

  • Anatomy, physiology production of radiographs utilizing multiple types of equipment.
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Additional Job Details:

  • Must live 100 miles away.
  • Must be a general sonographer that has vascular/echo experience.
