Job Description
Job Summary:
- Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with treatments ordered by the physician under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse.
- Perform selected clinical duties as assigned.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in patient charts.
- Prepare treatment and examination rooms.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
- Order, stock, and manage medical supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follow Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of applicable cumulative, job-specific experience.
Licensure / Certification:
- BLS Provider Certification.
- Medical Assistant (MA).
Skills & Work Environment:
- Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.
Must be experienced in:
- Vaccines.
- EKGs.
- Procedure preparation.
- Venipuncture.
- Monitoring vital signs.
- Injections.
Work Location: Very busy clinic with 7 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner
Schedule Hours per Week: 40.00
Schedule Hours per Day: 8.00
Schedule Days per Week: 5.00
