Job Description
Job Summary:
- Provide high-quality respiratory care for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Support the Cardiopulmonary Department during staffing needs while adhering to organizational standards, policies, and workflows.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy services for diverse patient populations (neonates through geriatrics).
- Stay current with organizational education and training, including updates on new equipment and workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Current Maine State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
Required Skills:
- Ability to provide respiratory care across all age groups.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new equipment and workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule Notes:
- Fill gaps in the department schedule as a traveler.
- Shift sign-ups occur every 8 weeks, and travelers may select their requested shifts only after the full-time night therapist has completed their selection.
