Endoscopy Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Assists competently and professionally in GI, advanced GI, pulmonary, and advanced pulmonary procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of anatomy and physiology related to GI procedures.
• Ensures appropriate handling, maintenance, and reprocessing of scopes, equipment, and supplies.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• RDCS Certification.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Endoscope Re-processor (CER) – IAHCSMM.
• Certified Flexible Endoscope Re-processor (CFER) – CBSPD.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with endoscopic procedures.
• Ability to work independently in all ENDO Tech – GI and Pulmonary procedures.
• Experience performing scope reprocessing.
• Ability to work on-call/after-hours unassisted and respond to emergency procedures.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
