Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs, plans, and coordinates activities of the sterile processing department to meet patient care demands.
- Manages inventory levels of Operating Room (OR) supplies, ensures proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment.
- Leads, supervises, and develops sterile processing staff to maintain productivity and quality performance.
- Ensures inventory supply levels support patient care without disruption and at cost-effective levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
-
Graduation from an accepted program in surgical technology or a bachelor’s degree in surgical technology.
Preferred Certifications:
-
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with and leading teams.
- Night shift availability.
- Knowledge of sterile processing operations and patient care environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
- Experience as a scrub tech or surgical tech in a hospital.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and patient care environments is required.
- Must follow compliance, safety, and privacy standards.
