Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Mammography procedures:
- Perform routine and diagnostic mammography, including special procedures like biopsies, in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Image acquisition:
- Operate dedicated mammography equipment, select appropriate technical factors, and position patients to produce diagnostic-quality images.
3. Image critique:
- Independently critique images to identify normal from abnormal tissue and take additional views as needed.
- Demonstrated collaborative/team-oriented work style.
- Demonstrated strong clinical knowledge base and judgment, preferably in ambulatory care setting.
- Ability to analyze, integrate, and use quantitative data/information in making business decisions and problem solving
4. Patient care:
- Provide patient education about the procedure.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
- Document patient assessment, history, and any necessary consent forms.
- Apply knowledge of age-specific patient needs, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a fast-paced department.
- ARRT.
